Blakey's Bean

Preschool is AWESOME!!! They were learning about plants and how they grow. They even got to experience planting their own bean seed, and were in charge of watering it and taking care of it. Blake knew that his bean would grow big and beautiful. He was a very faithful gardner and watered the heck out of Mr. Bean Plant. I was worried the poor thing might drown. We put his cup-o-plant out of reach of the water and with in a couple days...

Low and Behold....

The bean has sprouted!!! Hooray!!!! And I tell you what, Blake was overjoyed!!! This and I quote... is  the joyous conversation Blake shared with me when he saw his bean growing....

"WOW! I WUV (love) my favorite bean! Mom, I can't BEWEEVE it! My Bean is growing up BIG!"

"See Mom, It's called a Bean!"  "It turns Green! It's gonna open. I want it to grow a flower!" "WOW!!! I Wuv my favorite bean!!!"

All this celebration even included hugs, kisses and hi-fives!!!! It really was the cutest.

A couple days go by and holy moly his bean plant has sprouted "2 Weefs" ( Leaves)

Blake is very careful with his FAVORITE BEAN plant. He puts it out in the grass so the sun can warm it and look it's getting bigger!

You should ask him about his FAVORITE BEAN that he WUVS next time you see him. He LOVES talking about it. He is a proud little gardener. I love you Blakey Boy!

Slow Going Adventures at the Grocery Store

Blake's Preschool Class has been learning about food and fruits and veggies grow and where food comes from. It was fitting to take a little field trip to the grocery store and go behind he scenes to learn more. I got to go along and it was....let's say...intresting....ya, that's it :)

Josh, the store manager gave the ENDLESS, RAMBLING, SSSSSLLLLOOOOOOOWWWWW tour of Fry's. I don't think he have ever talked to little kids before. It was hard to walk at a snails pace through the store and stopping for eternity at each section of the store while employees asked the kids hard ?'s that they wouldn't understand. I know it was a service on their part, BUT you have to consider your audience people...3 & 4 year old rambunctious little kids. They don't CARE about what you have to say. They just want to eat the snacks and tell you their favorite color.  Boy, I sure sound grumbly don't I? sorry i can't help myself. It was cool to learn about some behind the scenes stuff at the grocery store but this tour could have been done in 10 minutes NOT for an HOUR!!!! DANG!!!

To make this tour even longer... Josh gave all 9 kids the opportunity to scan 5 groceries a piece.....HEAVEN FORBID!  but before they could scan it, we waited for 5 torturous minutes while we waited for a stool to be brought out. The kids were all DONE with the tour by this time. When it was Blake's turn, I think he enjoyed the checking out stuff, but he was getting kinda tired. He refused to wear his butcher hat.  It was an ADVENTURE to say the least, but one of the most BORING, and SLOW adventures I have endured in a Long Long time! I think it was a great idea and fit in great to what the kids were learning but I BLAME the whole boring tour solely on JOSH! He needs some lessons in communicating with little people!!! if he does have kids.... oh boy! I feel sorry for them :)

POST EDIT: ok so i was reading this post and I was starting to feel a little bad about the harsh judgments I made toward Manager Josh. In Fact, Blake & I were at this grocery store yesterday...April 27th. And Josh saw us and gave us a warm smile! GULP.....I felt a little GUILTY.... and was sure if he had the chance to read this post about him, he would probably not smile at us when we go shopping at his store.  so Josh, the manager...if you ever come across this blog post about you, try to not be offended. OK! I am sure one day when you have kids you will learn the skills you need! Hang in there dude! I guess you are not THAT BAD. You just need practice! :) ahhhh, I feel better now :)

Princess & the Pea...Pageant &...Easter EGGStravaganza

Back in March, we had a FABULOUS GIRLS DAY OUT...with my girlies and my sister, nieces and my mom. We took the girls to the Hale Theater in Gilbert to see the play... PRINCESS & THE PEA! It was our first time enjoying a show at the Hale Theater and I must say it was very DELIGHTFUL!

I have heard that every seat in the house is great and I will have to agree. We were in the back north 40 and we could see GREAT! Unfortunately, we didn't get to sit together but we still had a fabulous time. Can't wait to see another play there. If you haven't paid the Hale Theater yet...now is the time! You won't be disappointed! 

~ Easter Pageant ~

It's Tradition and one that I LOVE, to see the Easter Pageant at the Mesa Temple every year. It was just the girls and I this year. Leonard had to work and Blake got to hang out with Dad. Next year I hope we will all get to enjoy the pageant together. We got there at 5:30pm and the show begins at 8pm. We wanted good seats and I think the early arrival was worth the wait. The best part about getting there early is visiting with my family who came along. We even bumped into one of our favorite missionaries attending the pageant this year...Elder Faulkner!! He was one of Leonard's missionaries :)That was cool! 

The Easter Pageant was so amazing again this year. I am truly grateful for the Savior Jesus Christ sacrifice He lovingly & willingly gave for each one of us. I could feel the Spirit so strong this evening and my Testimony was strengthened with this knowledge.  I try to live my life each day in a way that will help me grow closer to my Savior. And when I fall short...which I do daily,  the gift of the atonement lets me try, try again! This time of year is a great reminder of what is truly important in life. 

The kids were "DYING" to Color Easter Eggs this year.

Some how...???.....we "forgot" to color eggs last year?! So we had to make up for it this year. And boy oh boy, did we have some fun! :) and lucky for me... no major spills to clean up this year...PHEW!

Don't these kiddos look so happy??? We thought this was a great between general conference family activity to do and it was!  :)

My Mom used to sing this little easter song every year as we got ready for easter. Now I sing it to my kids. ....ahh, the memories :)

Look what the Easter Bunny brought this year....

Happy Easter Kiddos...We LOVE YOU!!! 

They were all hoping for a big fluffy stuff animal to hug and wow that Easter Bunny is AMAZING!!! Picked out the perfect snuggly pal for each kid. ;)

Bubbles, Peeps and new Shirts for everyone...and chocolate too ... of COURSE! ;)

Cleaned up and ready to hunt for the hidden Easter Eggs... Wow, what a great looking bunch!

And Let the HUNT begin..... It is always a mad dash and so fun to watch! It is hard getting pics of the action because everyone is frantic...but I made my kids stop and SMILE for the Camera!!! good kiddos :)

That Easter Bunny hid a LOT of eggs.  It was a good hunt for sure!

The Zito Kids hit the jackpot with stockpile of  MAJOR Sweet Loot! Happy Easter!

Now it is time to relax and listen to our Prophet speak during General Conference. We get to reflect on the real meaning of the Easter Season...The Atonement & Resurrection of our Savior Jesus Christ. Conference was wonderful...so inspiring and brings such Peace and Hope. We ended our Easter Sunday by enjoying a scrumptious feast of honey baked ham, twice baked potatoes, deviled eggs and lemon bars...my fav! and best of all...with family.
