This Christmas was very memorable. Let me tell you the story. So it is wed night Christmas Eve night about 10:30ish. I am getting something out of the garage and I notice there is a pretty good leak coming out of my soft water softener tank. I have Leonard take a look at it. I went outside by the hose to see if we had a hose running or something. Anyhow, I turned the handle which happened to be the main water valve to the house off. The leak stopped but the handle kept turning and turning. Basically, the stupid valve broke and the water to my house was turned off too. And no hope to get it back on til maybe Friday. Unless I wanted to pay big bucks to some plumber on Christmas. I can do without water I guess. I was mad!!!! But what can I do. DEAL WITH IT! I pouted for a bit and was upset cuz I need water! I still needed to make my 2 loaves of friendship bread tonight and had a big breakfast planned for Christmas morning and had to make food for Christmas dinner. This is gonna put a kink in my plans.
After I pouted a bit. I sucked it up and went out and got my 5 gallon bucket. I "borrowed" water from my neighbors hose and back inside to make my bread. It worked out just fine. The bread got made, The dishes got rinsed and my hands got washed. I had plenty of bottled water for drinking and so we could do no water for a day happily. So that was the start of our "CAMPING at HOME on CHRISTMAS Adventure". We thankfully only went with out water til Friday at 11am when we were back in business. Thanks to my Dad and my dear hubby! They fixed it themselves. I was very impressed!!! HOORAY.... OK now on to CHRISTMAS MORNING!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! Wow! Santa did come this year. The Zito kids must have been good :) Christmas morning was a great time for our family. Making memories and enjoying the excitement and happy faces. I just love Christmas!

Blake's Top Christmas Gifts 2008
Blake loved his big wheel. He also got a new ball, some books, play food to carry around. But I think his favorite gift is this set of keys. if you have read posts from the summer, Blake Loves his Keys. He had a set he carried all the time, but they got lost! This new set I think was a perfect gift for him. funny hu?
In fact after he opened the keys, he was off to play with his bike and brought the keys to "start" the bike. He is too cute. It took me some prompting, but he came back and joined us in opening more presents.
Blake loves this new toy. Cars is one of his favorite movies. He yelled out "MACK" when he opened it. Mack is the big truck. He also got a Lightning McQueen race car that starts up when you shake it. pretty cool!
Blake loves these Lightning McQueen Pj's. He was so cute seeing if they would fit! I just love this boy!

YES!!! an New Truck! Santa is treating you right little guy! This is definitely a FAVORITE. He pushes it all day long and filled it with all his hot wheels cars.

Ok a present for me! I got perfume, slippers, comfy socks, John Bytheway cd collection...YES! and more cartridges for my new Cricut Machine! Merry Christmas to me :)

I am happy we finally did it. I think it was a good move for us. The kids love it too and can't wait for Dad to give them a ride anywhere. Blake is the biggest fan though. He talks about the truck all day and even looks out the window and says good night to it almost every night. It is really cute!

Earlier in the month he went to Home Depot to buy wood for shelving he was gonna make in our garage. He was excited to have his own truck to haul a load. No more borrowing or coordinating friends or family to help us out. (not that we didn't appreciate it! Thanks people...you know who you are :) Anyway, I thought it was a momentous moment and wanted to remember this happy day.
Here we have the finished project. New Shelves. HOORAY!!! My man is a stud!! In fact, I swear Leonard has been given some amazing handy man powers since being a proud owner of a TRUCK. This has been working out great for me :) Let me name a few awesome Manly Man Projects have been going down here at the Zito's Abode.
