Holiday Company Parties

Leonard & I got dolled up twice in one week for 2 Holiday Work Parties!
Our first party was last Thursday Night. I got to meet all of Leonard's Netapp Team and it was nice to visit with them all and connect their name with a face. We were at a fancy restaurant in Scottsdale on the patio for "Drinks" (water and soda for us) and hor' dourves. It was cozy and nice.
Kaitlyn our little photographer before our party :)

Party #2, Since Leonard's dedicated account is with Go Daddy, we were invited to the biggest holiday bash ever on Saturday night. Go Daddy rented out the entire Chase Field in downtown Phoenix. Where 4000 guests would be wined and dined. There was food, games, entertainment, and lots of $ giveaways. We have never been to a party quite as extravagant as this. It was pretty cool.
Not the best picture, but if you click on it you can see that the entire baseball field is covered with table and chairs, and HUGE bar, buffets, a stage and arcades lining the outside of the field. They also had fog machines going and laser lights beaming all over the place.
Here we are at our table enjoying the conversation with Leonard's Co-Workers and relaxing as we are being entertained by this guy... check it out on the big screen at the ball park.
Yep that is right, SINBAD was the comedian who kept us all laughing for most of the time. After the funny guy left the stage we got to hear from the man himself...Mr. CEO of Go Daddy...Bob Parsons
The head honcho was there to give away 1000's of $ to lucky Go Daddy Employees. The lady is his Admin and she was there with this bucket and they would pull names out of it and these winners would win between 1000, 5000, 10,000 DOLLARS CASH all taxes paid too! It was pretty exciting listening to all the happy winners shout for joy when their name was called out.
Unfortunately for us, we were not the lucky winners this year. If you click on this pic of Bob you can check out his AMAZING Bling in his ear. I wish I had 2 like it ;) Over the course of the night Leonard and I calculated that Bob Gave away about $500,000 CASH!! Not Joking! Wow!!! plus he gave away other awesome prizes, scooters, parties and more pricey stuff. We were so lucky to hear from this Band...38 Special???!!! anyone know these guys? I thought I knew them, but NOPE I didn't recognize any songs. not my favorite pick of bands. oh well!
The final performance of the night was with these lovely people...anyone recognize them???
It is Joan Jett and the Blackhearts...of course! She was hot stuff in the early 80's. They were here to grace our ears with some pretty raunchy songs in my opinion. They weren't all bad. I was finally happy to hear the song that made them famous in the first place.
i Love Rock-N-Roll, put a dime in the jukebox baby!!! ring a bell! it was fun to sing along too.
We were probably a pretty boring crowd for the Blackhearts. Everyone is dressed up pretty fancy for the night, not your typical attire for a rock concert. but what do i know?
Leonard & I wandered around the field to see what cool things Bob arranged for his people to enjoy. This Ducati is Leonard's Dream Bike. Bob Parsons owns a BMW/Ducati motorcycle dealership in Scottsdale. He had to do a little more advertising.
Bob was a Marine in Vietnam and had this Harley Davidson Fatboy customized to commemorate his service along with all the other amazing Marines out there serving our country. The airbrushing on this bike was pretty amazing.
While Leonard and I were admiring these pretty cool looking Choppers, we met the one and only...Bob Parsons himself. He shook our hands and we swapped war stories briefly. Leonard's dad fought in Vietnam and Bob was thankful for Dad's service. He wanted us to tell him, "Welcome home brother, welcome home". He told us his favorite bike is this military green Vietnam war veterans chopper.
We also admired this funky cool chopper in Go Daddy style!
Pretty snazzy hu?
I think these are the coolest pics we took. Leonard and I are standing on Home plate in Chase Field. That is so awesome!
I've never done that before. It was a great party. Nice to meet more of Leonard's co-workers and their wives/husbands. They especially loved when the Mormon;s finally showed up so we could give them our drink tickets. Merry Christmas folks :) We didn;t get home til 1am! Phew, I am company partied out ;) Til next year! my favorite ending line :)
