On Friday April 17th, the kids school had their annual $$$ making carnival. I was suckered into supporting the school in this cause. Well this year, I took the girls by myself and left Leonard home to chill with the Blakey Boy. He did take him to the park to play though, so he didn't miss out completely. You see having a very busy, tantrum throwing, very independent 3 year old and school carnivals don't mix. We learned that frustrating lesson last year. We decided to all be happy this Friday night.
The weather was so cool and wonderful that the girls and I walked to the school!
CHEESE! Smile girlies :)
We waited in this line for nearly 30 minutes to slide down this jumbo slide. We watched MANY little kids climb to the top and freak out as we waited "patiently" for them to climb back down or get forced down the slide. This is Carly making her way to the top and that BOY in blue has the same hair style as Carly. hmmmmmmm.
Carly is one brave chick. She took a running leap off the slide and in 2 bounces she was down.
That Blur you see streaking down the slide is Kaitlyn. It was too long of a wait for this jumbo slide. The carnival was disappointing this year. The "rides" were all bouncy stuff. I felt kinda jipped. Oh well!
Kaitlyn & her classmate waited in this long line to be GLADIATORS. Carly showed up just in time for a picture. Hooray!
Kaitlyn & her friend battle it out.
Those over sized "cotton swabs" or huge padded dueling sticks were a little awkward to maneuver.
Lots of laughing is a good thing!
VICTORY!!! The Gladiator Duel is over! Kaitlyn did great! She had fun and it was fun to watch. I then headed over to my bouncy castle to take my turn volunteering. The girls ran around and played. I bought lots of tickets for snow cones and popcorn and other treats. It was a fun night even though I came home with more than half the tickets i bought. oh well, it is for a good cause right. Until next year...oh fabulous school carnival. I think it will be Leonard's turn :)

Ha I'm A guy and i read your girls only blog first. I wish i could have been there to knock Caitlyn with the pugal sticks and see Carly fly down that slide.
You guys were pretty studly in the shadow picture.
The most important thing is - you spent time with your kids. Even if it wasn't all that great - the girls sure have big grins on their faces!
What a SUPER fun day. What a nice Mom you are for enduring all those long lines. I love the shadow picture! Well Done! I cannot wait for our carnival!
I bet that Blake enjoyed a day without those “pesky” sisters of his. If they are anything like my kids; it is a LOVE/HATE relationship!!!
Looks like the girls had fun! And what a great idea to let the boys have some bonding time so you don't have to battle Blake's endless energy while waiting in lines. :)
Hoj felt pretty proud of himself for viewing this post and writing a comment:) Diddo as far as making it some girl time, Josie's hit the same stage that Blake's at, good times:) The carnival looked like a happening time, I wish that Caitlyn, Carly and Dominique still lived here so we could go to one of these things!
We weren't able to go to the school carnival. Looks like the girls had a great time!
