The 5th graders had a HUGE project they have been working on for the past month or so. Their Famous Person Report. Kaitlyn chose to research Amelia Earhart...the first woman pilot to fly solo across the Atlantic ocean. She was a pioneer in aviation. She was brave, bold and was an inspiration to all women, that they could do anything they put their mind too!

Kaitlyn got to dress up as Amelia at school when they presented their famous person report to the parents and the whole school! I did some last minute gathering to help her be the cutest pilot in town! Thanks to Celeste for the sweet leather jacket and scarf. Lisa for your cool boots and to Freedom Military Supply Store for that sweet bomber hat! (glad they were in stock!) and thanks to my other friends for being willing to help me out at the last minute! you are all so great! :)

Close up to some of the details of her project board! I got to use my handy dandy Circut for the lettering and I was so happy to do so :) oooh and we both love the fluffy soft clouds! good thing I had lots of left over spider web from Halloween! They make great clouds :) Kaitlyn told me she is so happy I am a scrapbooking mom! Me too :)

I am so proud of Kaitlyn! She pretty much did it everything her self. She drew all the drawings, created a poem, did all the research and typed the entire thing out her self! ( I just helped to give all her creations a little POP and PIZAZZ!) I was very impressed with her skills! She received an A+ and she deserved it!

I still think Kaitlyn's was the best project at the 5th grade famous person night! she couldn't have done it all without you babe! Thanks!
That's awesome! She couldn't have picked a better famous person, either. I love Amelia Earhart. Way to go, Kaitlyn! It looks great!
Good job Kaitlyn - funnee how parents get continuing education until their last child graduates - then they have to think up stuff to do on their own!
Kaitlyn looks so awesome! Perfect outfit!!!
